Help Sought in Identifying Suspect in Incident
at 3200 Travis
April 25, 2005 -- Houston police
homicide investigators have released surveillance photos of a
suspect wanted in the capital murder of a woman in the 3200 block
of Travis on September 22, 2004.
The victim, Linda Oaties-Roumo, 49, of 2505 Fannin
was beaten, sexually assaulted and strangled.
The unidentified wanted suspect is described
as a black male wearing a light colored "FUBU" jersey
with the numbers 05 on the front, back and shoulders. He was also
wearing dark colored shorts and light colored tennis shoes.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T.C. Bloyd and
Officer D.L. Robertson reported:
About 6:50 a.m. on Wednesday, September 22, 2004,
Linda's partially nude body was found in the parking garage of
a business in the 3200 block of Travis. About 10:30 the previous
evening, Linda was seen at a bus stop in the 3200 block of South
Main. She was seen arguing with an unidentified person described
as a black male in his late 20s or early 30s. The male was about
6 feet tall, had a muscular build, short cropped black Afro hair
and had a white T-shirt draped around his neck.
Photos of the possible suspect have been obtained
from the building security system where the attack on Linda occurred.
It's believed the attack happened about 12:25 a.m. on September
22. Investigators are asking anyone with information on the suspect
in the photos to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600
or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
