Incident at 5060 Griggs Road

April 8, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5060 Griggs Rd. on Thursday, April 7, at about 8:45 p.m.

The victim is identified as Aurelio Losano, 24, address unknown. He suffered a gunshot wound to the stomach and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Grysen and Officer D. Shorten reported:

Two unknown males came to the door of the business in an apparent robbery attempt. An employee of the business was holding the suspects outside when one of the suspects produced a firearm and fired several shots into the business. The victim, who was a patron of the business, was struck once in the stomach.

The suspects are described only as two light skinned black or Hispanic males.
