Incident at 1622 North Main

April 2, 2005 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of two persons at 1622 North Main about 1:35 a.m. today (April 2).

The identities of the two victims, a Hispanic male and a Hispanic female, are pending autopsies by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office. Both victims suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The female victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the male was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he later died.

HPD Homicide Division Officers C. Scales and J. Sosa reported:

The victims arrived at the Poppa Burger drive-in restaurant about 1:35 a.m. today (April 2). A group of Hispanic males and females was already at the location eating when an argument began between a Hispanic male suspect and the male victim. Witnesses heard gunshots and found both victims lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.

The suspect is only described as a Hispanic male.
