Incidents at 6500 Belmark and 6203 Thrush
April 2, 2005 -- Houston police
are investigating the fatal shootings of two men, one at 6500
Belmark and the other at 6203 Thrush, between 1a.m. and 1:15 a.m.
today (April 2).
The victims are identified as Andre J. Swazer,
31, of 6718 Crosswell and Orlando D. Jackson, 29, of 6203 Thrush.
Both victims suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant S. H. Kennedy
and Officer R. Moreno reported:
Swazer was shot as he stood in front of a residence
in the 6500 block of Belmark with a group of friends at about
1 a.m. Approximately 15 minutes later, Jackson was fatally shot
and killed as he pulled up to his residence at 6203 Thrush. Investigators
believe both shootings are related.
The suspect is only described as a black male driving a compact
white vehicle.
