Segments 1 and 2 extend from Beltway 8 to IH-610, and from IH-610 to IH-10 respectively.
Process & Timeline
City staff and a team of experts from Huitt-Zollars and UH Community Design Resource Center will conduct a
multi-stage process for identifying changes to the project, mitigation measures, and opportunities for improvements
related to the project but that would be funded and led by other entities.

August 13, 15 & 17: First Community Workshops
Present maps and diagrams and build consensus on goals -
August-November: Investigate and Develop Alternatives
Research and develop alternatives based on feedback received -
December: Second Community Workshops
Present and discuss alternatives, build consensus on recommendations -
End of 2019: Publish Recommendations and deliver to Mayor Turner
The City’s team will engage TxDOT throughout this process to make sure they’re aware of what the community is saying and are evaluating the resulting alternatives. Outcomes of the process will be shared with Mayor Turner and his NHHIP Steering Committee.

In June 2019, the City and TxDOT co-hosted two public meetings to provide an overview and status update of NHHIP, and to inform people about the City-led engagement process.
