Thom collaborates with instructional leaders to provide quality workforce programs, ensuring that curriculums are relevant and responsive to industry needs–leading to high-wage and in-demand careers. He is an equity-focused leader whose mission is to drive economic and social mobility for all Houstonians. Thom has more than 20 years of experience in the field of education, both nationally and internationally, and has worked in corporate, non-profit and government sectors, including Newsweek (NY), Southern Poverty Law Center (Montgomery, AL), overseeing a team to design anti-bias curriculum and professional development content for Learning for Justice (formerly Teaching Tolerance).
