  1. How can I pay a ticket online?
    1. Visit City of Houston Ticket Payment System. Select ‘Continue’ to proceed.
    2. Review the Terms and Conditions. Select ‘I Agree’ to proceed.
    3. Enter ticket number and either your Last Name or the Offense Date of your ticket. Select ‘Search’ to proceed.
    4. Review the search results. Select the Ticket Number to view ticket details including outstanding offenses that must be paid. Select ‘Continue’ to view your invoice.
    5. Review your invoice. Select ‘Pay Invoice’ to proceed.
    6. Enter your payment information. You may also enter your email address to receive a confirmation of your payment. Select ‘Submit Payment’ to proceed.
    7. View your receipt. Select ‘Print Receipt’ to print a copy for your records. Select ‘Exit’ to leave the application.

  2. Who is eligible to pay their ticket online?
    To pay your ticket online, you must meet the following requirements.
    1. Know your ticket number.
    2. Have a valid credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express).
    3. You were not considered a juvenile when you received your ticket.
    4. Your ticket has not been disposed of (paid, dismissal, time served in jail, deferred adjudication, driving safety course).
    5. You have not applied for the driving safety course.
    6. A cash bond has not been posted on this case.
    7. You are not incarcerated.
    8. The offense date or the court date on the ticket is not more than two (2) years old.

  3. Is this online application secure?
    JPMORGAN CHASE PAY CONNEXION PRIVACY POLICY
    Your payment is being processed using JPMorgan Chase Pay Connexion. As part of this service, we collect information necessary to complete the transaction and as requested by Houston Municipal Courts.

    Information necessary to process and service the transaction will be provided to Houston Municipal Courts. For information regarding the security and use of your information by JPMorgan Chase, visit JPMorgan Chase’s Consumer Online Privacy Statement. This policy is applicable to all consumer or business data collected through this service.

  4. What do I do if I can’t find my ticket?

    If you cannot find your ticket, please verify your information again. Remember that ticket numbers are nine (9) characters long and that the officer needs sufficient time (typically 2 weeks) to file the ticket with the Municipal Courts Department.

  6. Where can I get computer access if I don't have a computer at home?
    Computers are available at your local library. You can call the 3-1-1 Houston Service Helpline during business hours (8 am to 8 pm) at 311 or 713-837-0311 for library hours and locations.

  7. Are mail-in and in-person services still available?
    Yes, the Municipal Courts Department will continue to offer a variety of options for payment of tickets/fines. Appearance in court on the date shown on your ticket will be waived if fines are paid prior to that date. Other options are:
    • PAYMENT BY MAIL: Full payment by check or money order should be made prior to scheduled court date. Mail payment with ticket number written on the check to: Municipal Courts, 1400 Lubbock, Houston, TX. 77002.
    • PAYMENT IN PERSON: You may pay your fine in person at the Municipal Courts Building Monday thru Saturday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. or at the other Satellite locations.
    • PAYMENT BY WESTERN UNION: As shown on the instructions on your ticket, you may wire your payment by Western Union. Your payment will be applied immediately.
    • PAYMENT BY CREDIT CARD: All fines can now be paid using your MasterCard, Visa, American Express, or Discover credit cards. Call 713-221-0226 to pay by phone: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday – Friday, or complete the credit card information form on the back of the citation and mail to 1400 Lubbock, Houston, TX 77002.

  8. How much will the online ticket payment cost?
    The online payment option will cost the fine amount plus a $7 Chase Online Payment Convenience fee per transaction.

  9. How long will it take for my payment to be processed?
    Please allow at least one business day for your online payment to be processed.

  10. If I pay my citation online, on my court date, will a warrant for my arrest be issued?
    Online payments made on a business day are applied to the court system within 24 hours. Online payments made on a holiday or weekend are applied the next business day. Therefore, if you pay online on your court date, a warrant will be issued. However, if all citations related to that court date are paid, the warrant will be removed and dismissed.
