As an officer was driving his personal car, his vehicle was struck by another motorist. Shortly after the collision, the other motorist produced a firearm while both vehicles were stuck in traffic. The HPD officer perceived a deadly threat and discharged his firearm once at the suspect’s vehicle. It is not known if the suspect was struck since he fled.
