Houston Police Department officers were dispatched to a Shot Spotter call. Upon arrival, they observed the suspect with a handgun in his hand. The officers gave verbal commands to put the gun down, but the suspect did not comply. The suspect raised his weapon and pointed it at the officers. Both officers on scene discharged their weapon. The suspect was still standing and would not comply to further verbal commands. One of the officers then discharged their weapon again. The suspect finally complied and laid on the ground. The suspect was struck in his right leg and was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
