Traffic Enforcement Officers (Highway Interdiction Unit) initiated a traffic stop on a wanted vehicle. The suspect resisted officers' attempts at detention and physically assaulted one of the officers. Two officers discharged their duty weapons at the armed suspect. The suspect was not struck and fled on foot. While fleeing officers, the suspect robbed an innocent female of her cell phone. The suspect was eventually found and taken into custody without further incident.
