The HPD sergeant followed a vehicle that just picked up a suspect who stole a vehicle. The HPD officer used his car to block in the suspects. The driver fled on foot and the original suspect shifted the vehicle into reverse and collided with the officer’s car door, injuring the officer’s hand. Immediately prior to the collision, the officer shot and injured the suspect who fled and was later apprehended.
