Patrol officers were dispatched to a Welfare Check where a male was reported to be in crisis. Officers located the male and attempted to deescalate the situation. As officers attempted to detain the male, the male produced a knife and was able to cut/stab 2 officers. One officer drew his duty weapon and discharged it at the male striking him. The male succumbed to his injuries. The injured officers were transported to the hospital in stable condition.
