Northeast Crime Suppression Team Officers were conducting surveillance at an apartment complex on a group of suspects possessing long guns. Officers attempted to made contact with the suspects, however, the suspects ran off on foot and officers pursued them. One of the suspects ran behind an apartment building while holding a rifle and an officer chased after him. The officer contacted the suspect and shot him. The suspect is in critical condition and is being transported to LBJ Hospital. No officers were injured.
