Houston Police Department Officers were dispatched to assist League City Police Department in a vehicle pursuit entering the City of Houston jurisdiction. The vehicle pursuit began in Dickinson after League City Police Officers attempted to apprehend the suspect who was involved in a bank robbery. The suspect fled from League City Police Officer leading them on a vehicle pursuit. Officers stated the suspect crashed his vehicle on Alconbury Lane, got out of his vehicle with a weapon in his hand. An HPD Officer involved in the pursuit discharged his duty weapon at the suspect but did not strike him. The suspect then raised his weapon and shot himself.
