Southwest CST initiated a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle previously involved in an aggravated assault. The vehicle refused to stop, and a pursuit ensued. Officers pursued the vehicle until it came to a stop. One suspect then fired at officers, and two officers returned fire, striking a suspect. Another suspect fled on foot. The injured suspect was then taken into custody and transported to Memorial Hermann (Medical Center) where he was pronounced deceased. The second suspect was also later apprehended and arrested. No officers were injured.
