Officers in Action
Officer R. Worsham, and Officer S. Blevins
Last month, Officer R. Worsham, and Officer S. Blevins were dispatched to a suspicious person call. Officer Worsham and Officer Blevins arrived at the location minutes after being dispatched and quickly realized the call was a burglary of a motor vehicle in progress involving two suspects. The officers quickly detained... one of the suspects close to the original scene and then began a search for the second suspect who fled the scene on foot. Officer Blevins caught the second suspect after a brief foot chase in an adjacent neighborhood.
The suspects were brought back to the scene and identified by the victims whose vehicles were burglarized. All of the property stolen by the suspects was recovered and returned to the rightful owners.
Many of the crime problems facing our city are due to criminals, such as these suspects, who roam our streets. Due to the officers’ professionalism, keen instincts and innate skills they arrested two suspects and quite possibly stopped further burglaries that plague our city.
