2ND UPDATE: Investigation into Man's Death at 6900 Hirsch Road
March 26, 2025 - Houston police have learned a suspect wanted in the death of a man in the 6900 block of Hirsch Road about 11:15 p.m. on November 19, 2024 is deceased.
The suspect, Alvaro Lovos, 52, was charged with murder in the 351st State District Court. A previously released photo of Lovos is attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Charlie Wilson, 67.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Brooks and Detectives C. Flora, G. Zavala and M. Castillo reported:
Officers responded to a report of an assault at the above address and found a man suffering from head and body trauma lying on the sidewalk. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim, later identified as Mr. Wilson, deceased at the scene.
Further investigation identified Lovos as the suspect in this incident. He was subsequently charged on November 20.
Detectives later received a tip that Lovos fled to El Salvador and was found deceased. The Gulf Coast Violent Offender’s Task Force verified that the suspect died on January 19, 2025.
