March 17, 2025 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 3800 Corto Street about 2 p.m. on Saturday (March 15).  

The victim is identified as Jaroi Coleman, 45.

HPD Homicide Division H. Martinez and S. Chettry reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at an intersection near the above address and Sayers Street and found an unresponsive man with gunshot wounds in the driver seat of a vehicle parked in the middle of the street.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the man, later identified as Mr. Coleman, deceased.  

Further investigation and witness statements determined a dark-colored sedan left the scene after a gunshot was heard.  

At this time, there is no known suspect description.
