March 12, 2025 - Houston police are investigating the fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred at 1400 Egypt Street about 1:05 p.m. on Tuesday (March 11).

The identity of the deceased male pedestrian 61, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Le and Officer X. Zhang reported: 

Officers responded to a report of a person lying in the roadway at the above address and found the victim with multiple injuries.  Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.  

Further investigation determined the victim had been struck by a vehicle that fled the area without stopping to render aid. At this time there are no known witnesses or suspect vehicle description.
