October 10, 2024 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit and run crash at 5500 Harvey Wilson Road at about 5:40 a.m. today.

The identity of the female victim is pending identification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sgt. L. Ross and Officer R. Bymaster reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a report of an unresponsive female found at the above location. Further investigation revealed a female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle of unknown make or model traveling east on Harvey Wilson Road. The victim was pronounced deceased by paramedics at the scene.

The vehicle that struck the victim did not remain at the scene.

The investigation is continuing.
