October 2, 2024 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman found at 9898 Forum Park Drive about 8:55 a.m. on Tuesday (Oct. 1).

The identity of the victim, 27, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detective R. Lujan reported:

Relatives of the victim became concerned because they had not heard from her and she had not picked up her child from the babysitter. On Tuesday morning (Oct. 1), family members entered her apartment and found the woman deceased. She had sustained at least one gunshot wound.

At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s) descriptions.
