September 5, 2023 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7127 Alder Drive about 5:05 p.m. on Saturday (Sept. 2).

The victim is identified as Christopher Arellano, 21.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants A. Lopez and M. Arrington and Detective N. Sharp reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at a business at the above address and learned Mr. Arellano had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital by a private vehicle.

Witnesses told officers Arellano was working on a car when a suspect opened fire, striking him multiple times. The suspect fled the scene on foot.

Doctors pronounced Arellano deceased on Sunday (Sept. 3).

The suspect is only described as an Hispanic male, about 6 feet tall with a slim build. He was wearing a black hoodie and khaki pants.

At this time, there is no known motive.
