June 20, 2023 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 3200 East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10) about 4 p.m. last Friday (June 17).

The identity of the deceased male, 34, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Le and Officer J. Louangpho reported:

According to witnesses, the male was driving a beige Buick Lacrosse recklessly and at a high rate of speed westbound near the above address and struck a crash cushion that divides the main lanes from the exit ramp. The Buick flipped and rolled into the main lanes and struck a red Buick Lacrosse.

Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the driver of the beige Buick to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. The driver of the red Buick was not injured.

The investigation is continuing.
