June 20, 2023 - Houston police are asking for the public's help in locating a person of interest wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a man at 7250 Avenue C about 9 p.m. on Sunday (June 18).

The individual is described only as a Hispanic male, last seen driving a dark green Jeep Wrangler with red rims. Surveillance photos of the male, who is not charged at this time, and his vehicle are attached to this news release.

The identity of the victim, 30, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detective D. Davis reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting in the parking lot of an apartment complex at the above address and found the victim with a gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the man deceased.

A preliminary investigation indicated an argument in the pool area of the complex led to the shooting.
