June 20, 2023 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 9800 South Post Oak Road about 10:45 p.m. on Monday (June 19).

The identity of the deceased male, believed to be 45, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Sudduth and Officer D. Thompson reported:

The male, a pedestrian, was walking in the roadway when he was struck by at least two vehicles. One driver fled and failed to stop and render aid. The other driver (of a black Honda Civic) returned to the scene. Paramedics pronounced the man deceased.

Investigators questioned the female driver, 25, of the Honda. She was released with no charges filed at this time.

It is unknown which vehicle caused the man's death. The investigation is continuing.
