August 28, 2023 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 10001 Beaumont Highway (North U.S. Highway 90) about 6:05 a.m. last Friday (Aug. 25).

The identity of the deceased male, 27, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Harris and Officer A. Hart reported:

Witnesses stated the male was operating a gray Honda XL80 motorcycle and weaving in and out of traffic as he was traveling westbound at the above address. At some point, the male, not wearing a helmet, lost control of the motorcycle and fell off the bike. Paramedics transported the male to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

The investigation is continuing.
