Incident at 4206 Dawson

January 26, 2006 -- A 19-year-old man faces at least two felony charges after shooting a Houston police officer on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at 4206 Dawson around 10:00 p.m.

Undercover HPD Narcotics officers were executing a search warrant at a home at 4206 Dawson when the suspect, Christopher Eugene Hogan (bm/ DOB 5-23-86) fired one shot at one of the officers as they entered the home. The bullet struck the officers protective vest causing a slight bruise to his abdomen. He was treated at the scene and taken to Hermann Memorial Hospital for observation and released.

According to HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J.H. Roberts and Officer B.W. Nabors, officers identified themselves as police officers before they entered the home in order to serve the warrant. The suspect was arrested without further incident and charged with attempted assault of a police officer and possession of a controlled substance in the 248th State District Court.

Investigation into Fatal Crash at 800 Telephone Road

January 18, 2022 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 800 Telephone Road about 1:35 a.m. on Sunday (January 16).

The identity of the male victim, 68, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer F. Flynn reported:

The victim was found deceased at the above address with minimal trauma and it is unknown if he was struck by a vehicle.  The victim was found to have been discharged from the hospital the previous day and may have suffered a medical episode prior to his death. 

The investigation is pending autopsy results by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
