Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 5877 South Gessner Road
November 15, 2021 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of another at 5877 South Gessner Road about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday (November 13).
The suspect, Julio Noches-Cerna (H/m, 46), is charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 178th State District Court. A booking photo of Noches-Cerna, with injuries sustained in the incident prior to officers' arrival, is attached to this news release.
Both victims were transported to an area hospital. The first victim, Boris Jackson Colindres-Herrera, 34, suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and was pronounced deceased. The second victim, Gustov Blanda, 40, suffered a gunshot wound to the torso and was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

HPD patrol officers responded to a reported shooting at a business at the above address. Upon arrival, they found Misters Colindres-Herrera and Blanda had been shot. The suspect, Noches-Cerna, was detained at the scene and transported to an area hospital with injuries. He was subsequently released and charged for his role in this incident.
