May 12, 2021 - The fatal stabbing of a man at 4000 Watonga Boulevard about 5 a.m. on Tuesday (May 11) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.

The deceased male is identified as Trevion Jones, 22.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives E. May and C. Sharp reported:

Officers were dispatched to an apartment at the above address and were advised by a female, 20, that Jones assaulted her by choking her and hitting her in the head.  The woman stated she then grabbed a knife and stabbed Jones.  Paramedics were called and pronounced Jones deceased at the scene.

The female told investigators she and Jones had a previous dating relationship.  She was questioned and released after investigators consulted with the Harris County District Attorney's Office and determined the incident would be referred to a grand jury for review.
