March 2, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the stabbing of a man at 5800 Village Forest Court that occurred about 2:20 pm. on Saturday (February 27).

The victim, Michael King, 20, was transported to an area hospital.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Sergeant D. Solis and Officer H. Martinez reported:

Investigators were told that Mr. King and a friend agreed to meet due to the friend owing King money.  As King and a witness drove down the street, they saw the friend and pulled over to talk to him.  The friend then demanded King's items, reached inside and took his money and then stabbed King multiple times.  The witness knocked the knife out of the friend's (suspect) hands and the suspect then fled the scene on foot. 

Investigators are following up on leads on the suspect's identity.
