September 14, 2020 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 12700 Westheimer Road about 3:45 a.m. on Sunday (Sept. 13).

The identity of the male victim, 37, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer J. Roberson reported:

The victim, a pedestrian, was walking across the street in a poorly lit area at the above address when he was struck by a white Hyundai Santa Fe driving westbound on Westheimer.  Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

The female driver, 38, immediately stopped.  She was questioned, did not show signs of intoxication and was released.

The investigation is continuing.
