Houston Relief Hub Prepares to Assist Those in the Path of Tropical Storm Barry
Donation and Volunteer Opportunities Begin Today, Friday, July 12
July 12, 2019 -- As Tropical Storm Barry makes its way toward the Louisiana coastline, the Houston Relief Hub is preparing to assist those who may need help with water, cleaning supplies and food in the storm's aftermath.
Beginning today, Friday, July 12, people may donate or sign up to sort and package items by visiting the Houstonreliefhub,org website or contacting Bill Baldwin at 713-862-1600 or 281-850-6862.
The Houston Relief Hub will operate in partnership with the Office of Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner. Yesterday, Mayor Turner called New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell and offered to provide assistance.
Donated items will be sent to residents of New Orleans and other areas of Louisiana damaged by TS Barry.
Please drop off donations starting Friday, July 12th until further notice to 927 Studewood, Suite 110 in the Houston Heights, daily between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
