September 4, 2020 - The fatal shooting of a man at 7511 Bonham Street about 10:10 p.m. on Thursday (September 3) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.  

The victim, Silvino Perez, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene.  

The male shooter, 38, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition and was treated and released.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Daignault and Detective R. Moss reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at a residence at the above address and found Houston Fire Department paramedics on scene treating two adult males with gunshot wounds.  Mr. Perez was pronounced deceased and the other male was transported to the hospital.  

According to witnesses, Perez, who is the ex-husband of the shooter's current wife, entered the residence uninvited and armed with a handgun.  Perez then shot the male.  Afterward, a struggle ensued and Perez was also shot.
