October 30, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man that occurred at 2601 Lazy Hollow Drive about 7:10 a.m. on Thursday (October 29).

The victim, Kevin Ausbie, 26, was treated at an area hospital and released.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers S. Deroam and J. Montalvo reported:

Mr. Ausbie was walking around the apartment complex at the above address to calm down after he had a fight with his girlfriend.  Ausbie stated he was approached by a suspect, described only as a black male, who attempted to rob him.  He stated the suspect then shot him in the chest and fled the scene.  Ausbie ran back to where he had left his girlfriend and she drove him to the hospital.
