Incident at 10300 Wilcrest
January 30, 2005 -- Houston
police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 10300
Wilcrest on Saturday, January 29, 2005, about 11:10 p.m.
The victim has been identified as Reyes R. Anzora,
28, of 10300 Wilcrest. He
suffered a gunshot wound to the left side of his chest and was
pronounced dead
at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. T. Mosqueda
and Officer X. E. Avila
reported:
Anzora's brother-in-law had just arrived home
and was walking toward his
apartment when two males, standing in the dark, called him over.
He continued
to walk upstairs to his apartment, when the two males chased after
him and put
a gun to his head demanding his wallet. The victim, Anzora, opened
the front
door and tried to defend his brother-in-law from the suspects.
Anzora pulled
out a revolver and shot one time toward the suspects. The suspects
shot at
Anzora, striking him one time in the chest. The two suspects then
fled
northbound on Wilcrest, driving a sky blue 1990-1992 4-door Toyota
Camry with
dark tinted windows.
The two unknown suspects are only described as
black males.
