UPDATE: Suspect Arrested, Charged in Shooting at 2005 Brackenridge Street
January 28, 2020 - A suspect charged and wanted in the shooting of two men that occurred at 2005 Brackenridge Street about 8:45 a.m. on December 23, 2019, is in custody.
The suspect, Earl Ledet (b/m, 30), is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 337th State District Court. A booking photo of Ledet is attached to this news release.
Both victims, Joe Louis Solis, 26, and Cameron Shaw, 31, were transported to area hospitals in critical condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives R. Rivera and W. Elliott reported:
Ledet shot his neighbor, Mr. Solis, as he was leaving for work. Ledet then entered the residence at the above address, shot Mr. Shaw and then fled the scene on a bicycle.
On January 14, Northeast Patrol Division tactical officers arrested Ledet without incident at his residence at 2003 Brackenridge Street.
