Investigation into Assault at 2718 Scott Street
January 28, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the assault of a man that occurred at 2718 Scott Street about 2:15 p.m. on Monday (January 27th).
The victim, Mohssine Chihani, 58, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer C. Brannen reported:
Mr. Chihani and an unknown suspect were in a minor vehicle crash in the convenience store parking lot at the above address. The two had a conversation before the suspect got back into his vehicle. Chihani then walked in front of the suspect's vehicle with a cell phone. The suspect then began driving away with Chihani on the hood of the vehicle.
The suspect drove southbound on Scott Street with Chihani still on the hood of the vehicle. Houston Fire Department paramedics found Chihani lying in the street approximately one block south of the convenience store. He had suffered major injuries to the head.
The suspect fled the scene.
