Investigation into Man's Death at 4901 Tidwell Road
February 21, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the death of a man at 4901 Tidwell Road about 5:50 a. m. today.
The victim, Garrett D. Washington, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives O. Flores and J. Russell reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and learned the victim had been struck by a vehicle, described as a pickup truck, while walking in and out of a moving lane of traffic. According to witnesses, the man struck by the vehicle (Washington) had been shot at by an unknown suspect in an older model, four-door sedan of unknown make and model prior to being struck. The driver of the pickup truck returned to the scene and spoke with investigators .
The shooter was described only as a black male in his mid-20s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 170 pounds.
