December 28 2020 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 8200 Westheimer Road about 10:55 p.m. on Sunday (Dec. 27).

The victim, Timothy Thompson, 62, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer J. Roberson reported:

The victim, a pedestrian, was leaving a median and crossing the street at the above address when he was struck by a black Dodge Challenger traveling westbound on Westheimer Road.  The male driver, 26, stopped and rendered aid to the pedestrian.  Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased.

The driver did not show signs of intoxication and consented to a blood draw.  No charges have been filed as the investigation is continuing.
