UPDATE: Suspect Arrested, Charged in Woman's Death at 6626 Calhoun Street

November 18, 2019 - Charges have been filed against a suspect in the death of a woman found at 6626 Calhoun Road about 9 a.m. on March 26.

The suspect, Juan Vigil (H/m, 36), is charged with murder in the 209th State District Court.  He is accused in the death of Margaret Stewart, 55.

A 2019 booking photo of Vigil is attached to this news release.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detective J. Roscoe reported:

The owner of a business at the above address found a deceased female lying behind the building.  She appeared to have trauma to her head.  An autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences identified the victim as Ms. Stewart.
