November 01, 2019 - Charges have been filed against three suspects arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 1800 St. Joseph Parkway about 3:45 p.m. on September 4.
The suspects - Jourdan Ellison (b/m, 17), Deric Williams (b/m, 22) and Michael Daveion Sykes (b/m, 20) - are charged with capital murder for their roles in the death of Christian Lezama, 19, of the above address.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Dunn and Officer C. Arrington reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at an apartment at the above address and were advised by HFD paramedics that Mr. Lezama was deceased at the scene due to multiple gunshot wounds.
Witnesses told investigators they were inside an apartment with Lezama when three unknown black males held them at gunpoint and demanded jewelry. When Lezama did not comply and tried to fend off one of the suspects, he was shot several times. All three suspects then fled the scene on foot to a nearby gas station, where they got into a red, older model, four-door Pontiac sedan and drove off.
Further investigation identified Williams, Ellison and Sykes as the suspects in this case and all three are now in custody.
