Investigation into Fatal Crash at 4412 North Freeway
May 20, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 4412 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) service road about 2:25 p.m. on Saturday (May 18).
The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Gonzales and Officer J. Jones reported:
The driver of a white Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling eastbound in the parking lot of a business at the above address. The vehicle backed up and hit the victim, believed to have been homeless, who was stopped behind the vehicle. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver remained at the scene and did not show any signs of intoxication.
The investigation is continuing.
