Investigation into Stabbing at 535 Uvalde
March 21, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the stabbing of a man that occurred at 535 Uvalde about 1:40 p.m. on Wednesday (March 20).
The victim, Jordan Sykes, suffered a stab wound and was transported to an area hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening wounds.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective S. Laird reported:
Mr. Jordan and another male were following an unidentified Hispanic male on foot southbound in the 500 block of Uvalde. At some point, Jordan and the other male began getting aggressive with the Hispanic male and a fight ensued. During the fight, the Hispanic male produced a pocket knife and stabbed Jordan once in the torso. The Hispanic male then fled the scene on foot.
The investigation is continuing.
