Update: Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Stabbing at 9598 Main Street
June 18, 2019 - Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal stabbing of a man that occurred at 9598 Main Street about 9:55 p.m. last Thursday (June 13).
The suspect, Stevenson Antron Thomas (b/m, 34), is charged with murder in the 183rd State District Court. A booking photo of Thomas is attached to this new release. He is accused in the death of Jerry Landry, 45.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives W. Huff, J. Nguyen, B. Rothberg and E. Aguilera reported:
Mr. Landry was near a bus stop at the above address when he got into an altercation with an unknown male suspect. During the altercation, the suspect stabbed Landry multiple times and then fled the scene in an unknown direction. Paramedics transported Landry to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Further investigation identified Thomas as the suspect in this case. On Monday (June 17), he was taken into custody without incident and confessed to his role in the incident.
