Investigation into Fatal Crash at 9500 Galveston Road
January 23, 2019 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 9500 Galveston Road about 5:50 p.m. on Tuesday (January 22).
The female victim, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Warhol and Officer N. Luu reported:
The driver of a charcoal-colored Nissan Altima was stopped in a northbound lane of traffic at the above address, waiting for southbound traffic to clear to make a left turn into a business parking lot. The driver of a white Ford F-250 pickup truck, also traveling northbound, failed to control his speed and struck the rear of the Nissan, killing the back right passenger.
There are no charges at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
