Investigation into Shooting at 5714 North Freeway
January 16, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a male that occurred at 5714 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) about 5:45 a.m. today (Jan. 16).
The victim, Jeremy Ray, 21, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Senior Police Officer D. Marshall and Officer D. Morrison reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the Olympic Motel at the above address. The victim's father had called 9-1-1 stating his son, Mr. Ray, had been shot in the head. Ray, his father and Ray's girlfriend had all been staying at the motel for the past three months. The girlfriend fled the scene with the weapon. There is no arrest nor charges at this time as the investigation is on-going.
