Investigation into Fatal Crash at 15200 Gulf Freeway
December 23, 2019 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 15200 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) about 12:45 a.m. on Saturday (December 21).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer K. Hines reported:
The victim was driving a white Chevrolet Tahoe northbound on the Gulf Freeway when his vehicle suddenly crossed two lanes of traffic, hit the concrete barrier and rolled over multiple times. The vehicle then caught fire. The victim, the only person in the vehicle, was trapped inside and pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved.
