Investigation into Shooting at 6219 Jensen Drive
December 16, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a juvenile male at 6219 Jensen Drive about 9 p.m. on Sunday (December 15).
The victim, 14, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition with a gunshot wound to the ankle.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives A. Ferrell and J. Roberts reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found the victim had been shot. The property owner's son believed the victim was a burglary suspect after he received a call from a neighbor that someone had broken into the lot. When the property owners responded, they saw a large male (victim) and told him to stop. When the juvenile turned to run, he was shot in the ankle. Further investigation determined family friends of the property owners were staying on the lot without the owners' knowledge.
No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
