Investigation into Man's Death at 200 Delmar Street
December 03, 2019 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man weeks after an assault at 200 Delmar Street about 3 p.m. on November 6.
The victim, Craig Lamell, 65, sustained head trauma and was transported to an area hospital, where doctors pronounced him deceased on Monday (December 2). His cause of death is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detective J. Roscoe reported:
Mr. Lamell was walking near his residence at the above address when he was assaulted by an unknown suspect(s). Paramedics transported Lamell to the hospital where he remained for an extended period of time. Prior to his death, Lamell told police he had been assaulted by three males while on the hike and bike trail at the above address.
