Investigation into Shooting Incident at 9290 Woodfair

Houston police are investigating the shooting of two men that occurred at 9290 Woodfair about 9:50 p.m. on Monday (November 5).
The victims, Javier Orellana, 24, and Nilson Romero, 27, were transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives S. Ragsdale and A. Hernandez reported:
Mr. Romero told investigators he was walking through the apartment complex at the above address when approximately six Hispanic males began asking him which gang he was in. When he told them he wasn't a gang member, one of the suspects began bothering him and another individual produced a pistol and began shooting at him. Mr. Orellana, a bystander, was struck by a stray bullet.
